MeL screencast

I almost forgot to post my screencast! In case you want to view it, you can do so here.

This was really interesting to make, and pretty difficult as well. I’m proud of it, though, and I’m really glad that I got the opportunity to make one. Libraries are really using them now, so I think that it’s going to be an invaluable skill to have.

(Also…you never really realize how annoying your voice is until you listen to it approximately 53 times in a row.)

  1. I didn’t think I would be so nervous when it came time to actually create the screencast! It was super awkward to sit and talk to no one (even though I talk to myself all the time), but I am glad that we did it. One more thing I know how to do that I didn’t know before!

  2. I agree with Emily. I was actually shaking when it came time to start the recording– and that was after running through the thing about a dozen times, first! As for the voice…. good lord, the whole time I was listening to the thing I was thinking, “How do I have friends if I sound like this?!”

  3. I’m so glad I wasn’t the only one that thought it was really strange/difficult to do the screencast! I was so annoyed with my voice because I sounded nervous and not at all what I thought I sounded like. But like you said, Emily, it’s one more thing we can add to the list of things we didn’t know how to do before!
